Information on government services, health and education are also increasingly going online. Access to the Internet may also be increasingly important for consumers as the Internet has lowered the price of many goods and services, provides extensive information on many products, and has made shopping more convenient. As a result, online sales represent an increasing share of all retail sales. It has also been argued that the Internet improves political engagement and there is evidence that computers make it easier to start businesses.
