World Resources SimCenter.
Featuring surround visualization in the most unique new venue in Southern California, we'll be showing our GIS work by research associates who are developing renewable energy resource maps for nations around the world.

Opened in 2011, the World Resources SimCenter (www.wrsc.org) is located in downtown San Diego. The SimCenter is an immersive visualization space used to facilitate planning, collaborative problem-solving and decision-making. With a 12 screen surround environment, you can literally "see" the trends on an issue, project future options and gain consensus more easily. 

 

The SimCenter is a tool for better design planning and map presentations. We

have hosted corporate training, strategic planning and receptions as well as developed Geodesign San Diego, a GIS specific community for professional users and amateurs.  

 

Geodesign San Diego is programmed to advance mapping knowledge, share projects and learn how to use ESRI and open source tools and data sets. We invite you to join us, bring your experience, your challenges and use the World Resources SimCenter to surround you in your passion.

Mr. Meisen graduated from the University of California at San Diego, with an engineering degree in Applied Mechanics and Engineering Sciences. For the past 30 years he has worked in social engineering and sustainable development   Peter was fortunate to have met Buckminster Fuller twice and followed Bucky's advice to read "Critical Path." This changed his life and inspired him to found the Global Energy Network Institute (GENI.org) to conduct research and education on Bucky's premier global solution -- the interconnection of electric networks between nations with an emphasis on tapping abundant renewable energy resources around the world.

  • This is a free event, and donations are welcome.
  • Best parking is at street meters, green and yellow curbs are free after 6 pm
  • If possible we suggest you use the Trolley. The Civic Center stop is right outside our door!
