Global Classroom: Building Resilient Cities - Transportation and Transit
Resilient Cities:
Building Resilient Transportation and Transit
We invite you to join us for a summer evening series presented by the World Resources SimCenter in partnership with the World Affairs Council, United Nations Association, The Equinox Center and the SDSU Geography Department.
- July 17-
Transportation and transit systems have grown significantly in importance in the last few decades. Greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation industry have increased faster than population usage in recent years. Does an Increase in transportation options lead to less physical activity and increase the public health cost? How much do we invest to provide options that no one uses? It is time for San Diego to realized the effect of our transportation system and design a solution that incentives ridership and helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
