Resilient Cities:
Building Resilient Agriculture and Food Systems
We invite you to join us for a summer evening series presented by the World Resources SimCenter in partnership with the World Affairs Council, United Nations Association, The Equinox Center and the SDSU Geography Department.
Week 7 7/24
Planning Resilient Agriculture and Food Systems (Cami)
Today, food security especially in urban cities is a critical issue. Climate change has caused floods, droughts, pest pressure, and other challenges that affect our food and agricultural systems. So how do we achieve sustainable agriculture that provides sufficient food supply with droughts, food price spikes, and water shortage in San Diego? The answer lies in diversity within our agricultural ecosystem. Come and learn how resilience in our food system relies on strategies like diversifying food systems to boost yields year round.
We invite you to bring your expertise and add your content during the Q & A . . . We learn better, together.
