Resilient Cities:
Polices and Regulations - Getting Rules Right
We invite you to join us for a summer evening series presented by the World Resources SimCenter in partnership with the World Affairs Council, United Nations Association, The Equinox Center and the SDSU Geography Department.
Week - 7/21
Building Resilient Cities -
GENI's "Building Resilient Cities" project has demonstrated the merits thoughtful preparation for climate change consequences in San Diego. Over the course of this summer, we have diagnosed future threats to San Diego's well-being, identified potential opportunities for integrating resiliency, and explored the economic feasibility of these options. Now, legislation needs to be implemented to make this research a reality. This presentation will reflect on San Diego's existing environmental regulations and suggest areas and methods for resilience advancement. Our democratic form of government grants "power to the people"; thus, we have the ability and responsibility to promote resilient legislation in our region.
We invite you to bring your expertise and add your content during the Q & A . . . We learn better, together.
