We need volunteers to speak at the Environment Committee of the San Diego City Council for much needed public input on the Mayor’s draft Climate Action Plan (CAP).

NOTE:  The Committee meets on the 12th Floor of City Hall. There’s 3 hours of free parking available at Horton Plaza and the trolley stops immediately in front of City Hall.

The Committee will be meeting starting at 1:30pm instead of the usual 2pm (agenda for Wed’s Environment Committee meeting). If you are able to get there at 1:30 that would be great because the committee will be considering raising the drought level response from voluntary (where it currently is) to mandatory restrictions. Water is closely tied to energy use in California and is a climate issue, so hopefully we can have a few folks speak out on this issue as well. If you can only get there for the CAP, please plan on arriving at 2:30 at the latest.

Please RSVP HERE and Emily Wier will share talking points with you.
