Join SanDiego350 for a revealing facilitated book discussion. In “Comfortably Unaware”, Dr. Richard Oppenlander tackles the crucial issue of global depletion as it relates to food choice.

Do you know the true cost of the food you eat every day? What resources were used and what was destroyed in order to get that food to your plate? What does the word sustainable really mean when applied to your food choices and how sustainable is that particular food to your own health?

From the intro: The intent of “Comfortably Unaware” is to provide an unbiased informational base upon which readers can, at the very least, be afforded the opportunity to increase their awareness of food choice as it affects their lives and the life of our planet…”.

Plant-based finger foods will be provided. Contact Louise of SD350’s Planet-Based Diet Team for more information: 619-991-3736 or louise.russell@sandiego350.org.
