Join us to stand in solidarity with the brave leaders making a stand in North Dakota against the Dakota Access Pipeline.  #NoDAPL

We’ll be supporting Kumeyaay and urban Natives in solidarity with Standing Rock Sioux Tribe to protect our planet from pollution and climate change, and to support tribal nations defending land and sovereignty in the face of violence.

RSVP NOW!

NOTE: this event is scheduled 10 am – 3 pm (with set up at 9:30 am). We’re trying to figure out if there is a central time when we most want folks to participate. Stay tuned.

As Bill McKibben says in “A pipeline fight and America’s dark history (The New Yorker),  “This week, thousands of Native Americans, from more than a hundred tribes, have camped out on the Standing Rock Sioux reservation, which straddles the border between the Dakotas, along the Missouri River. What began as a slow trickle of people a month ago is now an increasingly angry flood. They’re there to protest plans for a proposed oil pipeline that they say would contaminate the reservation’s water; in fact, they’re calling themselves protectors, not protesters.”

Can’t come Friday? A second rally is planned for Tues, Sept 13 @ 6 pm.
