The Port of San Diego has proposed expanding the Tenth Ave Terminal in Barrio Logan leading to a tremendous increase in greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. Our allies at the Environmental Health Coalition have opposed the Port’s proposed expansion and worked with the Port to significantly reduce the scope of the expansion. They are confident that they will be able to support the updated proposal.

You can help send a strong message to the Port that the expansion plan must reduce air pollution and GHG emissions:

1. Join us at the Port hearing on the Expansion this Tuesday
We’d like SanDiego350 members from around the county to participate and speak (or submit comments if you’re not comfortable speaking). Please wear your SanDiego350 t-shirt if you have one. Time and location details are above.

RSVP NOW

2. Sign our petition
We’re collecting petition signatures from people around San Diego County to deliver to the Port Commissioners Tuesday.

Sign and share the petition to ask the Port to reduce GHG emissions and pollution now.

Note: It’s hard to tell with hearings how long they will go on. This hearing starts at 1 pm but we’ll gather earlier to fill out speaker/comment slips and get seats. The hearing could end earlier than 3 pm or last longer.
