These millennium goals help raise awareness, A way to convince the population to stay in rural areas for more opportunities to create more job opportunities

to find the best out of their main asset, their labour. Enhancing the level of education in poorer countries will provide a better chance to improve country’s economy

in order for their labour market to depend on itself.

Eradicate Extreme Poverty

These issues are quite Interconnected: once employment is available in the poorer countries, those who cannot/does not leave the country may still have a chance to work: this is the “right kind of growth” in order to reduce poverty in developing countries, hence reduce migration patterns.

To reduce the impact of the digital divide there are several things to implement, in broad terms it is necessary:

• Have computer and Internet access:  People need affordable and reliable computers and broadband Internet access.

• Be digitally literate: people need to understand digital technologies and how to use them effectively to achieve their educational, economic, civic, and social goals.

ICT has beneficial effects on economic development, nowadays ICT becomes increasingly strong determinant of growth, including the use of the Internet. If breaking digital persists, the development gap between the North and the South may get bigger.

 ICT, new keys to the information society, open broad opportunities in the areas of management, commerce, education and governance. So it seems that they can contribute to the development of disadvantaged regions.

This chart describes the different occupations that illegal immigrants participate in and the percentage of unauthorized workers in each sector. The highest number of unauthorized workers: construction labourers because manual labour doesn’t need a high level of education and lower salaries are better than none

Human Trafficking Pie Chart

Prostitution (46%) is the largest sector and domestic servitude is 27%. 1/2 of the people into US so their children can have a ‘better life’. Most people are from East Asian and Pacific countries to US. But this situation is not just happening in the U.S. for there are a total of 800,000 people trafficked per year. The result of this issue restricted migration rules.

This image is a logo of the ITU which stands for International Telecommunication Union. The ITU created the Electronic Commerce Developing Project in order to assist developing countries in establishing necessary infrastructure to create electronic business transactions in order to bridge the gap between highly developed countries and less developed countries.
