Apply for a License Now
The various license categories and fees are as follows:
Corporate Affiliation License – For corporations that want to affiliate their association with the SimCenter. Corporations pay a one-time initiation fee of an amount determined by the GENI Board, currently USD 100,000, with annual dues currently set at USD 10,000, for the license to operate a SimCenter at their headquarters. If this corporation develops SimCenter satellite locations anywhere around the world, each additional SimCenter will pay the same annual dues as the corporate headquarters location.
Government Affiliation License - For government agencies (city, county, state and federal) that want to affiliate their association with the SimCenter. Government agencies pay a one-time initiation fee of an amount determined by the GENI Board, currently USD $50,000, with annual dues currently set at USD 5,000, for the license to operate a SimCenter. If the government agency develops SimCenter satellite locations in their territory, each additional SimCenter will pay annual dues of USD $5,000.
Educational Affiliation License - For universities, campuses, and research institutes that want to affiliate their association with the SimCenter. University institutions pay a one-time initiation fee of an amount determined by the GENI Board, currently USD 40,000 with annual dues currently set at USD 4,000. For community colleges or high schools, the one time initiation fee is $20,000 and annual dues set at USD $2,000.
Non Profit Affiliation License – For non-profit entities that want to affiliate their association with the SimCenter. Non-profit entities with a budget greater than $5M pay a one-time initiation fee of an amount determined by the GENI Board, currently USD 40,000 with annual dues set at USD 4,000 for the license to operate a SimCenter. Non-profit entities with a budget less than $5M pay a one-time initiation fee of an amount determined by the Board, currently USD 20,000 with annual dues currently set at USD 2,000 for the license to operate a SimCenter. If the Non-profit entity develops Satellite SimCenters, each will pay the same annual dues as the non-profit headquarters location.
6 month Option License for Corporate only – An option does not confer Affiliate status. However upon the payment of an amount determined by the Board, currently USD 50,000, the option holder has 6 months to complete payment of the regular membership initiation fee. During this option period, the GENI Board will not entertain an application within that same city, unless the other applicant is a non-profit, educational organization or government entity. If option holders fail to pay the balance of the membership fee within 6 months, their Option Fee is forfeited and other Corporations can apply.
Transfer of Affiliate Membership License – A transfer occurs when more than 50% of the beneficial ownership of membership is transferred. The GENI Board approves all transfers and the current transfer fee to be paid is 50% of the License Fee. The transfer fee is due with the application for transfer. The new owner pays the normal annual dues at current rates. Any transfer must be like to like, ie., corporation to corporation, non-profit to non-profit.
