The Port of San Diego has proposed expanding the Tenth Ave Terminal in Barrio Logan leading to a tremendous increase in greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. Our allies at the Environmental Health Coalition have opposed the Port’s proposed expansion and worked with the Port to significantly reduce the scope of the expansion. They are confident that they will be able to support the updated proposal.

On Monday Native Americans, environmentalists, vets, nurses and others will come together in a peaceful, prayerful vigil to support the water protectors at Standing Rock.

Join us for a national day of action that brings together advocates for racial, economic, environmental, and climate justice. We’ll join a march that is about 1.4 miles long starting at the Federal Building and ending by City College around 7:30 pm (the route is south on Front to Market, east on Market to 11th Ave, north on 11th Ave to A Street).

On Tuesday Native Americans, environmentalists, nurses and others will come together in a solidarity action to call on President Obama and the Army Corps of Engineers to revoke the permits for this dirty oil pipeline.

This day of action is part of a broader call to action happening across the country targeting decision makers & stakeholders at every level. We hope to call attention to the brave water and land protectors at Standing Rock and encourage President Obama to stop the pipeline.

Meeting with a new or potential member can be one of the best ways to share why we are passionate about addressing climate change and to highlight how new members can get involved in the important and impactful work that we are doing at SanDiego350. The one to one training is an opportunity for established SanDiego350 members to learn how they can hold an effective one to one meeting with new members that are interested in joining SanDiego350 or with members that want to become more involved.
